Senior Electrical Engineer – Braeside VIC

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. The expected start date of this position will be as soon as possible.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, develop, and oversee the installation of electrical system in water treatment and distribution facilities.
  • Design and decide the type and arrangement of circuits, transformers, circuit‐breakers, transmission lines and other LV switchgear components.
  • Interpret the specifications, drawings, standards and regulations relating to electric power equipment and use.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including engineering drawings, design specifications and technical reports.
  • Define a technical product support process in the countries and if needed, different levels of product support.
  • Teach and supervise junior electrical engineer in the same department.
  • Coordinate and supervise the regional sales and service teams to support the supply, delivery, installation, and maintenance of electrical equipments and products.
  • Collaborate with the segment, sales, service leaders and customers to gather, evaluate voice of customers and other market information to develop the required fit‐for‐purpose electrical products.
  • Coordinates the creation of external marketing and internal training content to communicate the value proposition of new service programs as well as competitive strategies to win in the larger marketplace.
  • Works with services defining, reviewing, approving, and escalating critical RFQs.

The Must‐Have Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical experience within the electrical space.
  • Understands the Australian Standards and International Electrotechnical Commission Standards.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical products and technologies especially in the LV Switchgear components.
  • Experience in using various designing tools like AutoCAD, Cubic Galaxy, ABB Design tools and etc
  • Translation of technical features into commercial messaging.
  • Able to organise and manage resources used in the supply of electrical components, machines, appliances, and equipment.
  • Good knowledge of the available electrical equipment and product as well as the current trend and the in demand products.
  • Understanding business basics including revenue projections, business metrics and financial planning, as well as pricing (beneficial).
