As a recent Mechatronics Engineering graduate, I join Remtron’s technical team as an Application Support Engineer.

The transition into, real-world industrial automation applications has been incredibly rewarding. Over the past year, I’ve had the chance to contribute to a diverse range of projects across multiple industries. What I really enjoy about working at Remtron is been able to work across integrating technologies from our multiple principal suppliers to work seamlessly together, from PLCs to field devices and robotics.

Over the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a diverse range of applications, from programming an irrigation modernization project to supporting a quality control system using servo drives. I also got to assist in integrating a 7th-axis linear track with a 6-axis robot. These projects have given me valuable, hands-on experience bridging the OT and IT worlds, utilising industrial network protocols. What’s most exciting is that I get to learn something new everyday on the job.

Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym and spending time outdoors, hiking or catching the latest UFC fight cards with my mates.
